A Herkimer diamond is not actually a real diamond but rather a quartz crystal found in Herkimer County, New York, USA. It's known for its clarity, double termination (pointed ends on both sides), and natural facets. While it's not a real diamond, it's often referred to as a "diamond" due to its clear and sparkling appearance.
